Cornerstone Chemical partnered with the Live Oak Manor Volunteer Fire Department and the Waggaman Community Foundation to distribute more than 100 Cornerstone care packages that included non-perishable food items and cases of bottled water to Waggaman residents following the effects of Hurricane Ida.
To assist in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Ida, Cornerstone partnered with
Dwayne LaGrange and Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church to distribute more than 100 Cornerstone care packages that included non-perishable food items and cases of bottled water to Ama residents.
Cornerstone provided cases of bottled water to healthcare workers at St. Charles Parish Hospital (SCPH). We appreciate their commitment and support to our communities during the recovery from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Ida.
Cornerstone donated cases of bottled water to United Way of Southeast Louisiana's (UWSELA) Hurricane Ida Relief program, which is assisting people across Southeast Louisiana who are recovering from the storm's devastating impacts. It is important that we remember to Live United during challenging times.
Cornerstone volunteers cooked jambalaya and white beans for a fundraiser at R.K. Smith Middle School located in St. Charles Parish. All proceeds went to the school's Junior Beta Club.
Cornerstone donated Cornerstone-branded tape measures to the River Region Chamber of Commerce to include in the distributed swag bags to welcome 232 new teachers in St. Charles Parish, St. James Parish, and St. John the Baptist Parish.
Cornerstone participated in the First Baptist Church of Waggaman's Trunk or Treat event to hand out Cornerstone goodie bags filled with sweet treats.
Cornerstone sponsored a Thanksgiving Luncheon for the teachers and staff at Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary School — Cornerstone's adopted school — located in Waggaman.
Cornerstone participated in Waggaman's Annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Live Oak Manor Volunteer Fire Department.
Cornerstone will award $1,000 in scholarships to eligible students. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current college students pursuing a STEM-related degree. The deadline to apply for a Cornerstone scholarship is March 6, 2022.

Those registered for alerts will receive a notification from the system should any on-site event occur that potentially impacts people outside the Cornerstone fence line. Those who have registered to receive alerts will be quickly notified via the Cornerstone Safety Notification System, along with the appropriate government authorities.
The Cornerstone Safety Notification System will be tested four times a year on a quarterly basis.
